The Churburg in the village Sluderno is the loveliest castle of Venosta valley in South Tyrol. Today's visitor finds an impressive Renaissance castle, enhanced by the remarkable paintings in the arcades surrounding the courtyard.
The world renowned armoury contains the largest collection of its kind. The weapons and harnesses, all made for members of the family, are of incomparable artistic and historic value. Many precious objects are to be seen in the Romanic chapel of the castle, in the Matscher chamber and other splendid rooms.

This valiant castle was built in 1253 by the Bishops of Chur, was then taken over by the bailiffs of Matsch and has been in the hands of the Counts Trapp since 1504.
