Montagna

Montagna in South Tyrol

The village Montagna (496 m) lies below the castle of the Dukes of Enna that seems to dominate the Adige valley.

The inhabitants are scattered in the hamlets of Pinzano, Gleno, Doladizza, Casignano and Fontanefredde, in the green hills with apples and valuable grapes.

Parts of the Nature Park Monte Corno and also the hill of Castelfeder with its biotope belong to the area of Montagna.

It is the ideal area for trekking tours and mountain bike excursions.

In Pinzano you can admire one of the most famous gothic altars of Hans Klocker.
