Sweet treats in the Apiculture Museum, Renon. The spotlight is on busy, humming swarms of bees and their delicious honey on the old Plattnerhof farmstead. Intrepid visitors can watch the insects from close up, dressed in protective clothing.
The museum of apiculture (bee-keeping and honey production) is located in the 600 year old Plattner farm house. The collection contains many objects used for making honey in the old days.
The tradition is still continued and one can see how honey is produced today. The museum also comprises rooms from the old house and one can see how life was lived years ago.
